Simple sketching Guide

"LEARNING SKETCH NEED PRACTICE+KNOWLEDGE BOTH"

ART is not start by practicing or keep making stuff all day. It starts when you start visualising things.

when i say visuals it doesn’t mean that:

-you watch some randoms videos on youtube and,

– A detailed videos of some artist who make step by step drawings and sketching in their different social platforms.

yeah, Quite good but it doesn’t boost your own experience. you have to start visualise every single thing you see. when you think and see everything like an artist, that’s where you start growing in this field.

Sketching

Sketching means quick free hand drawing of any object. In sketching, when we starts to  draw an object it does not include that much details like an Realistic drawing. Instead we focus on simplicity and basics forms of the object like lines, shapes, basic proportions.

for example: If i want to learn to learn an new instrument like guitar or want to learn a new language then i need to focus on their basics first, In the same way in sketching we learn about basic things one by one like building blocks.

Major sketching methods:

HATCHING

HATCHING

Hatching means a series of similar lines with which we create a texture and values to show depth in any object we made, for example: Picture in your mind a room where light goes in every object which is present in the room like table, chair, copy, books etc and due to this light, Objects create shadows. so, instead of making a rough black areas in shadows we create similar darker lines in Hatching.
CROSS SKETCHING

CROSS SKETCHING

Cross hatching is quite similar like hatching. we only add a lines on top of it, in different direction. Remember one thing that: - if you want the area darker then use more and darker lines close to each other in that place and if you want that a particular place looks light in tone then draw light lines quite far from each other, so that your drawing create depth and it'll look fine.
BLENDING

BLENDING

Blending means creating a seamless shade in drawing. Like: we see on figure drawing. Have you ever made a scenery drawing where we mostly need to mix a light and darker color shades to each other so that it'll look fine. Yes, that process is called BLENDING. and that soft shading between them is called "GRADIENT."
STIPPLING

STIPPLING

Stippling is a process where we use a lots of small dots from with which we create lighter and darker areas in object. This process looks quite mix of blurry and premium type looks and yet its takes much time in detailing too.
CONTOURING

CONTOURING

Contouring is a method where we starts making a similar lines like an boundaries of an object we draw. just like the figure we see above.
