Girl reading under a tree

A girl sits on a green hillside with her back opposite of a large tree stem, reading. The open book rests in her lap and her head is bent toward it, so we see her mostly from behind: long dark hair in a low ponytail, a light short-sleeved dress. The pencil work is quick and loose, with the darkest strokes in the hair and the trunk and almost no shading anywhere else. Leaves moves down from the branches above. A few have already landed in the grass by her feet.

Rainy street with umbrellas

Two figures in the foreground walk toward the viewer under umbrellas, and they are the most detailed things in the drawing. One wears a scarf and coat. At the back various more walking path, lessened to simple dark outlines under open umbrellas. long poles, street lamps, and blurred building outlines rise above the mass, and the rough, lines in layer leave the background cloudy. Across messy lines on the ground suggest wet sidewalk and mirror image. It is an undone pencil study of a city pathway in the rain, and many of the formation lines are still visible.

Tap that turns into a lightbulb

Where water flow from the tap, the opening turns into a lightbulb. The idea seems to be light replacing water, which could stand for creativity, or for energy and resources turned into ideas. It is a black ink artwork make from cross-hatching. The bulb has a clear fine wire and a bulb base, and thick hatching around it suggests glow or energy sending outward. Bright highlights on the metal pipe stand out against dark shading, which gives it a glossy, solid look.. A hexagonal nut sits where the pipe meets the wall, and a cross-shaped handle hangs at the bottom.

Daisy

The core of the flower is a circle of small dots, and about two dozen thin petals fan out uniform around it. Light shading along the petal side curves them a little, and a blur shadow sits under the bloom. The flower faces up, drawn in pencil on paper, and it reads almost like a study of flower. A thin stem wave down to the lower part of the page. One notched leaf branches off to the right, shaded darker than the petals.
